Learn new quilting and fiber art techniques through Quilters Keep Learning

Kris Jacobson

I have been sewing since I was in 4-H as a child. I bought a sewing machine with my graduation money. I minored in Textiles and Clothing and sewed clothes for herself for many years.

I started quilting in the ‘80’s and had an opportunity in 1990 to take a machine quilting class from Harriet Hargrave. That has defined my quilting ever since. Since then I have had the opportunities to take classes from teachers such as Joan Wolfram, Libby Lehman, Lorraine Stangness, Jane Sassaman and most recently Ellen Anne Eddy.

I began teaching about 1995 and enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. I always learn something from my students and have made wonderful friends through quilting.

I am a past president and charter member of the Badlands Quilters Guild and am currently the Retreat Chair for our annual BQG Retreat. I am also an AQS member.

I work as a web and computer graphics artist and just recently celebrated my 28th wedding anniversary. My husband and I also own and operate a ranch in SW North Dakota.
